Locating DMPFC, SMA, & CZ
Dr. Rustin Berlow uses a tape measure to locate the dorsomedial prefrontal cortex, the supplementary motor area, and the primary motor cortex.
How to measure and locate the DMPFC, SMA, & CZ
When we measured the three midline structures, we measured the distance from the nasion to the inion and we found that to be 38.
We put the zero spot of the tape measure at the nasion and then we measure up 30% to get to DMPFC, 40% to get to the SMA, supplementary motor area, and 50% to get to the CZ or primary motor cortex.
