Zoom EMG 101 – How to start and build a successful EMG Practice
Saturday and Sunday May 1-2, 2021

This is a technical course and workshop format includes didactic presentations, technical demonstrations, nerve conductions and needle EMG videos, and discussions and workshops in a group setting to ensure optimal learning and participation. Participants will have the opportunity to interact directly with faculty during these discussions and hands-on demonstrations.

- Introduction to NCV-EMGs, who can do them & what can they add to your practice
- 10:30 AM – 11:00 AM
- Quick anatomy upper extremity Anatomy Video, EMG machine, technical aspects, electrodes
- 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM
- Visual demonstration of upper NCV, Median motor & sensory, Ulnar motor & Sensory, Radial sensory & F-wave studies. Discussion – Q&A
- 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM
- Break for lunch
- 1:00 PM – 1:30 PM
- Quick anatomy lower extremity. Anatomy Video & Galvanic Skin Response (GSR).
- 1:30 PM – 2:30 PM
- Visual demonstration of lower NCV, Peroneal motor & sensory, Sural nerve, Tibial nerve, F-wave & H-reflex
- 2:30 PM – 3:30 PM
- NCV samples & case studies & Q&A
- 3:00 PM
- End of day one – Q&A and YouTube videos
Day 2 - Sunday

- Needle Exam Introduction & Discussion of needles & techniques.
- 10:30 AM – 11:00 PM
- Muscle anatomy in upper extremity

- Visual demonstration of Needle EMG upper exam & cervical paraspinals.
- 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM
- Break for lunch
- 1:00 PM – 1:30 PM
- Muscle anatomy in the lower extremity
- 1:30 PM – 2:30 PM
- Visual demonstration of Needle EMG Lower exam & lumbar paraspinals
- 2:30 PM - 3:00 PM
